It might be software drought city for the PSP in Europe with the third-party publishers, but at least it seems Sony knows what PSP owners want.

According to this week's Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, the company has a sequel to its tribal rhythm game Patapon in the works. Like the original game released just a few months back, it's being developed by Pyramid and produced by its Japan studio - the same one behind the brilliant Loco Roco.

And talking of Loco Roco, the issue of the magazine also carries a two page spread with first screenshots of the upcoming Loco Roco 2, which Sony also recently confirmed.

Both Patapon and Loco Roco scored Pocket Gamer Gold awards at review so we're more than happy to hear they're getting sequels. Watch this space for more on both games.
