Digital Chocolate sets hearts fluttering with its new casual dating game

Win a woman with Party Night Casanova for mobile

Who needs the shame of going out to bars and being rejected by real women, when you can chat up cartoon ones on your mobile phone instead?

That, at least, is the thinking behind Party Night Casanova, a new dating game from Digital Chocolate, which will come out later this year. (Happily, there is also to be a Party Night Diva version aimed at female gamers.)

The goal in Party Night Casanova is to impress an array of attractive looking women with your bewitching conversation, slick cocktail-mixing and funky dance moves.

No, that doesn't mean slurring into their ear, offering them a sip of your Stella, and then doing your Crazy Frog dancefloor impression. That's where you've been going wrong, it seems.

What it does mean is three mini-games. The chat-up game is Mastermind-esque – you have to guess what conversation topics your date likes, and get them in the right order. The cocktail mixing is a one-thumb mini-game where you have to select the right ingredients by pressing the '5' key at the right time. And the dancing is a rhythm-action game where you press up, right or left to bust some moves.

The game includes six glamorous ladies to chat up including, marvellously, 'the daughter of a world-famous mobile game producer' who is 'known for her wild lifestyle'. We must try to get an introduction next time we interview Digital Chocolate head honcho Trip Hawkins.
