As big names in entertainment go, Paramount is fairly massive; the film and TV outfit is part of the giant Viacom. And it's been dipping its toes into the world of games recently with iPhone titles such as Top Gun and Shooter.

In an interview with UK trade magazine MCV, its senior vice president of games John Kavanagh revealed the company was also thinking about working its way up the gaming food chain.

When asked about the likelihood of Paramount getting involved with retail games, Kavanagh said; "We're looking at DSiWare and PSP's download service, but you won't be seeing Paramount's name alone on a box anytime some."

Paramount's confirmed future releases include a Star Trek game for XBLA and PSN, as well as the re-releases of retro Top Gun and The Warriors games, also on XBLA and PSN.

Meanwhile its upcoming movies that could look good in portable game form include Iron Man 2, The Mighty Thor, Captain America and The Adventures of Tintin.
