Bouncing up and falling down are all the rage on the iPhone, as evidenced by the humongous success of games like Doodle Jump and Parachute Panic. The latter of which has clocked up over 4 million downloads.

Not wanting to miss the bandwagon, developer FDG Entertainment has revealed to Pocket Gamer that a new version of Parachute Panic will be coming to the iPad when the device launches next month.

Titled Parachute Panic HD, the new iPad exclusive includes armfuls of brand new features including social networking, downloadable skins, and a reworked player versus player challenge mode.

"We are fully commited to this device," said Thomas Kern of German developer FDG Entertainment, revealing that the company has four titles in the works, one launch title (Parachute Panic HD) and another three "coming a bit later".

Outside of Parachute Panic, the developer is perhaps best known for iPhone action RPG Across Age, which hit the App Store last month.
