It's over two years since the eponymous dot eater came to the mobile in his first pinball iteration, and we quite enjoyed his bumper-bouncing antics first time around. Namco Bandai has just been in touch to say the PAC is back (and fully capitalised) in PAC-MAN Pinball 2 – we'll assume you can guess the content of the game from the review of the original and from the title.

The three new table designs are backed up by an all-new physics engine that promises to deliver some ultra-realistic pinball wizardry to your mobile. Apparently you even get a bit of tactile feedback as the handset vibrates when the ball bounces about the tables.

"PAC-MAN is one of the most recognisable game characters globally. PAC-MAN Pinball 2 once again proves that PAC-MAN can deliver a highly entertaining experience across many game genres," says Barry O'Neill, president of Namco Bandai Networks Europe. "Pinball is in many ways a perfect casual game, with two-button control making it an accessible game for all gamers to simply pick-up and play whilst on the move."

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
