Tricky Software puts more air into balloon-popping puzzler PUFF with iPad version
Up, up and away
As seems to be the way with many iPhone games, developers are continuing to work to remake their existing library for the larger iPad screen.
And why not?
Well, actually I have some thoughts about whether the additional resources might be better spent elsewhere, but most games will certainly look better, even if there are few additional sales to reward such toil.
Anyhow, US developer Tricky Software, which most recently worked on the Scarface: Last Stand iPhone game, is back with a supersized version of its match-2 balloon-popping game PUFF.
More puffNow called PUFF Deluxe, it's a puzzle game that has you popping various structures of balloons so they drop the prizes hanging beneath them. Some balloons are also power ups, which you can use as score multiplers, or to pop more of the surrounding balloons.
Once the prize lands you have to complete a simple sliding puzzle to recreate its image, which is then awarded to you.
It's a very simple little game that has 40 levels, and good sociability in terms of global leaderboards, which are linked roughly into your location on a world map to provide a bit of detail about where the best players are.
You can create your own customised balloons with photos, and email your friends challenges too.
PUFF Deluxe is out now, priced $3.99, €2.99 or £1.79.
