Star Wars Battlefront III rumoured for release on PSP

LucasArts hasn't exactly come out and said it's in the making, but it looks like Star Wars Battlefront III could be on its way to PSP. That's if you believe an Amazon.com retail listing reported by PSPFanboy but which now appears to have been taken down.

The listing apparently had the game set for pretty much every home console format out there, as well as PSP. Star Wars Battlefront II (pictured) of course was released on PSP a couple of years back so it'd be no surprise to learn that LucasArts is making a sequel for the handheld too.

The publisher is also set to release Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for various formats including PSP and DS in September this year, and Star Wars Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance is also coming exclusively to DS and Wii.

If the game is coming and it's not just a mistake on Amazon's part, we'd be surprised if it's not announced at this month's E3. Click 'Track It!' now and you'll be among the first to hear as soon as the game's announcement is official.
