Split/Second: Velocity blasting onto PSP and PSPgo in time for Christmas
That should warm you up
Manic explosion-riddled racing game Split/Second: Velocity has set the charges, fuelled the helicopter, and is on its way to the PSP and PSPgo.
Taking a page out of Michael Bay’s ‘how to make things exciting’ book, S/S:V takes the normal racing template of drifting and Going Very Fast and adds thousands of tonnes of explosives to the mix.
Drifts, drafts, and jumps all contribute to a meter that allows activation of these explosives placed all around each track.
These vary from ‘small’ explosions such as blowing up a garage or decimating a tunnel right up to such scenes as crashing an airplane and even a whole dam being destroyed.
The new portable version will come with a number of extra features not found in the original PS3/Xbox release, including a new track, extra challenges, and a four-player local multiplayer mode.
Split/Second: Velocity should be out on both PSP and PSPgo around Christmas.
