Ex-Sony employee: iPhone SDK ‘is better’ than PSP’s

The first few months of 2009 have seen renewed support from Sony for the PSP, with a rumoured hardware update and an impressive line up of AAA games.

This comment from ex-SCEE Technology Group employee Sebastian Rubens won’t derail Sony’s train or anything, but it'll no doubt chafe. Talking with Edge Online, Rubens said Sony needs to have “a better SDK – iPhone’s is better.”

This comment appears in a post entitled 'PSP Developers Call For Better Support', and apparently Rubens also thinks Sony needs to better handle thirdparty relation in Europe, and develop a better understanding of what the market actually wants.

“[N]ot a GTA,” he says, “even if PSP is technically capable of running it, because the economics don’t make it worth it.”
