Sony still giving away free PS Vita and PSP games in Xmas-related promotion
Including Velocity, BreakQuest, Canabalt, and Wizorb
Sony is doing its best to keep the spirit of Christmas alive by giving away free PlayStation mini games. Yes, even though it's nearly the end of January.
It may be called the "PlayStation Xmas Giveaway", but Sony's Facebook promotion is still going strong.
If you're quick enough, then, you can grab download codes for four PS mini games for your Vita or PSP.
I mean, you like free games, right? Thought so. So, let's hook you up, yeah.
Free four allFirst, you'll want to go to the PlayStation Xmas Giveaway Facebook page.
To unlock the first game - the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning teleportation shooter Velocity - simply 'Like' the Facebook page.
If you want a code for Breakout-style ball bouncer BreakQuest, you'll need to 'Share' the promotion on your Facebook Wall.
For a copy of monochrome endless-runner Canabalt, just click on the 'Twitter' button to link the promotion to your followers.
Finally, if you register to receive PlayStation news updates from Sony, you will unlock a code for the magic-filled Wizorb (yes, it's another Breakout clone).
Though the page 'Like' and registration steps are mandatory, we did notice that the moment we opened the windows for the Facebook sharing and Twitter portions of the promo, the code for the associated games (BreakQuest and Canabalt) appeared immediately.
This meant we could nab the relevant codes without actually having to publish either the tweet or the Facebook status.
We also redeemed some of the codes on the PlayStation Store, and can confirm that they do, indeed, work.
We've no idea how long the offer will extend for, so if you fancy a few complimentary games for your Vita, we suggest you act now.
