Further details revealed for Patapon 2 on the PSP
Game designer Hiroyuki Kotani says it should be bigger and easier
It's great to think that complaining on forums and getting all narked up about not being able to finish a level does actually have an effect on the developer of a game. In a recent interview with Japanese Famitsu magazine, game designer Hiroyuki Kotani revealed that one of the primary purposes for the Patapon sequel was to iron out the kinks that gamers complained about.
Not that Patapon wasn't a success, but its difficulty level soared like an out-of-control rollercoaster. The sequel promises to address this difficulty issue, while still adding enough new content to ensure the fans don't view it as Patapon 1.5, rather than Patapon 2.
First and foremost is a multiplayer option, allowing four players to transport eggs obtained in the single player mode across the Patapon world in a co-op fighting extravaganza.
Kotani also suggests we can expect almost double the content, so hit 'Track It!' now for more news when the Japanese version is released around Christmas, and any info on thus far unannounced UK release dates.
