Modders take lack of PSP keyboard problem into their own hands

See what you get when you connect an Xbox 360 chatpad to a PSP

Product: PSP news | Manufacturer: Sony
Earlier this year Sony confirmed it was working on a keyboard attachment for PSP, to make the likes of web browsing on the console - which is currently fiddly to say the least - that much easier.

It seems the reported mid-2009 release date for the peripheral is a bit too long to wait for the modding community at Acidmods though, which has engineered his own alternative.

Its solution of ripping open an Xbox 360 chatpad and connecting it to a PSP seems to work remarkably well, and is nicely portable too. You can see a video of the keyboard in action over at PSP fanboy. Watch it and get a taste for just how easy internet surfing and Skype instant messaging is going to be once Sony eventually gets around to delivering us an official version.
