They say a picture paints a thousand words. With that in mind, we're not entirely sure how much three minutes and 23 seconds of video footage would equate to – possibly a novel? – but we'll keep this brief because, ultimately, seeing Metal Slug Anthology in action (by downloading the trailer from 'Watch It!' above) will give you a better insight into the series' signature character design, vehicle variety and humour than our words ever could.

Besides, we've already told you about the seven-game compilation on several occasions – it's one we're looking forward to immensely.

The publisher has yet to confirm an actual release date but when contacted this morning it did say to expect it "very soon". Current thinking still suggests this will be early 2007.
