Hit one-on-one fighting game gets digital distribution

Capcom reveals Fate/unlimited codes for PSP digital download

Okay, first off, Fate/unlimited codes is the game's name. It links in with a Japanese visual novel with a similar naming convention. It all looks a bit weird, but we'll probably get used to it quickly since this looks like a total ass kickin' mother of a fighting game.

Its PS2 version has already gathered a legion of rabid fans on its home shores, and now Eurogamer has heard that Fate/unlimited codes is due for worldwide release this summer exclusively as a PSP download.

The game features some classic, weapons based one-on-one tournament brawling, and bundles in ad hoc and net-based multiplayer so you never run short of heads to bust open.

The 17 characters are superbly diverse are exactly what you'd expect from doujin-soft powerhouse Type Moon.

Sony seems to be getting into this whole digital distribution thing, as Patapon 2 was recently announced to be a download only title in the US (another 29,998 apps and it'll have caught up with the iPhone).

Check out the PS2 trailer below (the PSP one will naturally have the added benefit of widescreen), then perch yourself on the edge of your seat in anticipation.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
