Natsume's bringing Kemco's End of Aspiration RPG to the PlayStation Network as End of Serenity
Either way, something is ending
Natsume has announced that it will bring Kemco's Bronze Award-winning RPG End of Aspiration to the North American PSN for the PSP this summer.
Yes, you read that correctly: the PSP is getting a new game.
More interestingly, the game's also getting a title. The traditional JRPG End of Aspiration for Android and iOS is an old-school 16-bit adventure through and through, but for its debut on the PSN Natsume felt it needed a new name.
Hence, it'll be known as End of Serenity.
We contacted Natsume to see about Vita compatibility and were told it'll "most likely" be Vita-compatible, but that's up to SCEA to decide.
End of Serenity focuses around mysterious objects known as Atomigems, which people around the world alternatively hoard away or worship.
Recently, however, a shadowy underworld organization's been going around and stealing as many Atomigems as they can - hinting that there's more to this objects than what's known.
In our review of End of Aspiration, we happily noted that it was "powered by a pretty robust battle engine" and that, like most of Kemco's games, "it's shamelessly old skool".
Unfortunately, we found its story to be "totally bereft of originality" and felt that its script was "undermined by poor English."
Hopefully Natsume can clean up that last part when End of Serenity makes it to the PSN.
