The next instalment of BioWare's epic fantasy role-playing franchise Dragon Age will include handheld versions.

EA made the announcement in a financial report detailing the company's third quarter 2010 fiscal year results.

Referred to as "Dragon Age Title TBA" (guess it's not really to be announced anymore, eh?), the game is still largely a mystery without an official title or word of exactly what portables are getting the treatment.

A PSP version is all but assured, though BioWare has experience developing for DS. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood tested the DS waters for the Canadian studio.

What we'd like to know is whether an iPhone and iPod touch release is a possibility. The financial report didn't discuss the platform, but considering how lucrative it has been for EA Mobile, it seems like a good choice to us.

Dragon Age will be available at the beginning of 2011.
