Halfbrick Studios has just kicked off its new line of PSP Minis games over on the PlayStation Store with its Gauntlet-esque shooter, Age of Zombies.

The game casts you as wisecracking hero Barry Steakfries, who sets off on an epic journey across time and space to battle against the evil Professor Brains and his zombie, ninja, caveman and super hybrid cyborg alien dude minions.

Oh, there's even an undead T-Rex (which we suspect is the first gaming appearance of a zombified dinosaur).

There's also a survival mode that pits you against an endless onslaught of Barry's many enemies, requiring you to put all manner of pistols, flame throwers, grenades, shotguns and other weaponry to use to stay alive as long as possible.

Age of Zombies is playable on both the PSP and PS3, and is out now worldwide on the PlayStation Store at $4.99/£3.99. Check it out.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
