Tokyo-based studio Cherrymochi has recently found success on Kickstarter with its horror-adventure game Tokyo Dark.

Unfortunately for us, the funding the studio has raised will be going towards focusing on bringing the best game possible to Windows and Mac.

We, here at Pocket Gamer, have been hoping to see some stretch goals on Tokyo Dark's Kickstarter page to bring it to more platforms. That was our hope.

But Jon Williams, the guy in charge over at Cherrymochi, told us today that those stretch goals wouldn't be happening. Not all hope is lost, though.

"Once Tokyo Dark is released on Steam next year, depending on sales and success of the game we hope to use the profits to explore porting Tokyo Dark to PS Vita," Williams told us.

So with any luck we should hopefully get to play Tokyo Dark after it's released next year. That's good enough for us.

The game takes us deep into the urban myths surrounding the Tokyo underground. Playing as Detective Ito, we'll be descending into a nightmare as she searches for her missing partner.

It plays as a 2D adventure game, so it involves solving puzzles, making dialogue choices, and interacting with the environment.

It has a branching storyline with 10 different endings and multiple solutions to each puzzle that will affect which one you get.

One of the most interesting aspects of all this is the game's sanity and social meters. You have to juggle Ito's mental health and status with trying to solve the case.

You can find out more about Tokyo Dark on its website and support its development over on Kickstarter.
