Table Top Racing for the PS Vita officially announced, 4 player online play confirmed

Sometimes we break the news so fast here at Pocket Gamer we scare ourselves.

This is definitely one of those times as Playrise Digital and Ripstone have officially announced Table Top Racing for the PS Vita - a game which we already went hands-on with at GDC 2014.

The Vita version of Table Top Racing isn't a simple port of the Bronze Award-winning mobile version, mind. It features a complete graphical overhaul and some fun control tweaks that take full advantage of the Vita's hardware.

Also, it finally gives you control of your car's speed with customizable controls.

Ripstone also sent along a few specifics with the announcement to let you know what you can expect from Table Top Racing when it hits the Vita this spring.

For starters, you'll have 17 upgradable cars to choose from as you zip along eight highly-detailed tabletop tracks.

You can also choose between six gameplay modes - Combat, Pure Race, Hot-Lap, Speed-Trial, Pursuit, and Eliminator - or dip your toe into the pool of four-player online support, which comes complete with global ranking boards.

Unfortunately, we don't have a specific release date or price for Table Top Racing just yet - but we'll keep you updated as soon as either surfaces.
