Meta RPG Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment has flashy sword play for your Vita right now
Comes with HD version of Infinity Moment
Bandai Namco has now released Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment in the North America, Europe and Australia on Vita.
This is the second RPG based on the popular Sword Art Online universe, which spreads across visual novels, manga, and anime.
In the game, you find yourself trapped inside a simulated MMORPG (the game isn't actually online) and must fight your way to the 100th floor and defeat the game-in-the-game's final boss. It's very meta, as you can tell.
It's also one of flashy sword fighting, with robust combos, burst attacks, and active partnering.
There is also a chance to partner with up to three other online players, specifically and only within the Hollow Area.
The game also boasts other quirks, such as a first-person mode, and elements borrowed from dating sims.
When you purchase Hollow Fragment for Vita (digital only), you also receive an HD version of the first game, Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment (originally released on PSP). So, yep, that's two games for one price.
You can also download a DLC Costume pack for free from today until November 18th.
Lastly, even more content is going to be added in the first update for Hollow Fragment, which is due on September 18th.
You can purchase Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for £32.99 on the PSN Store right now.
