Autumn forecast calls for SunFlowers on the PS Vita

The Game Atelier took to the US PlayStation Blog to provide some updates on its upcoming indie puzzler SunFlowers.

We learned volumes about the game when we spoke to the developer back in May, like how it will use every input feature of the PS Vita and why it was arranged vertically instead of horizontally, but we lacked a firm release date for the title.

While that date is still not set (or is it planted?) in stone, we now know that we can expect SunFlowers to bloom sometime this fall for the PS Vita.

The irony isn't lost on us, either.

Petal to the… Vivaldi?

SunFlowers may look deceptively casual due to its simple premise (grow flowers, then collect them) but the game's three difficulty modes are designed to make it appealing for casual and hardcore gamers alike.

In SunFlowers, players control the sun and must use its various solar powers to nurture the growth of flowers below. When the flowers are fully grown, they move to the player's virtual garden.

With 330 different flowers to collect, SunFlowers will help players develop their digital greenthumbs as they relax to soothing remixes of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

SunFlowers is free-to-play until level six, when players will then have the option to purchase the full game.
