Soul Sacrifice receives western release dates, pre-order bonuses
Exclusive costumes, Japanese voice track, and more
Grab your Vita and get ready for some bloodshed: the dark and gritty horror-action gorefest Soul Sacrifice will come to the west this spring
A post on the PlayStation Blog confirmed a firm release date of April 30 for North America and May 1 for Europe, along with some details about what sort of pre-order bonuses fans can expect.
Featuring real-time action and a robust multiplayer combat mode, Vita owners have been pretty excited Soul Sacrifice since it was first teased in an issue of Famitsu.
Today's announcement should make up for Soul Sacrifice's earlier, slipped release date, but if it doesn't then the pre-order bonuses certainly will…
Bring on the loot! Those who pre-order Soul Sacrifice will have quite a haul of exclusive in-game content to sort through.
In addition to two unique costumes (pictured below), players will also receive three special magic items to aid them in battles: Spirits' Flamepike, Spirits' Blightstone, and Spirits' Fulgurwood.
Additionally, those who pre-order will receive the original Japanese voice-over track for free. Unlike the costumes and weapons, those who miss the pre-order window can purchase the voice track at a later date.
Set in a magical book (that's actually a demon), Soul Sacrifice begins when your hero is used as a sacrificial offering. Once inside the book, the hero will need to fight a variety of monsters in his quest to remain human.
Or, at least as human as a disembodied soul trapped in a book can remain.
