On PlayStation's blog post they outline one particular phrase which essentially sums up their reasoning: "I've heard of Secret of Mana, but I never played it and I'm just used to more modern graphics."

Secret of Mana's 3D remake has been totally rebuilt from the ground up, faithfully adapting the original but for the more modern player. Aside from the new gameplay and refreshed graphics, you'll also be getting:

  • Voiced characters - Randi, Primm, Popoi, and others will finally be heard.
  • A new soundtrack - Though, it'll pay tribute to the original.
  • Local multiplayer - Up to three players can go on the adventure, side-by-side.

Check out the full blog post right here to snap up all of the itty-bitty details. Sadly, the remake isn't set for the Switch so just those who own a Vita/PlayStation 4 will be able to hop on board.

Secret of Mana arrives on February 15th 2018.
