Immaculate roguelike platformer Risk of Rain will be leaping and bounding onto Vita
Time to get soaked
Glorious weather news forecasted, platform fans!
One of Sony's business developers, Shahid Kamal, has tweeted that Risk of Rain will be heading to Vita.
If you're not familiar with this game, here's why you should be looking forward to Risk of Rain.
It's an action-platformer with some roguelike elements, including permadeath. You have multiple classes from which to choose, including a soldier, a sniper, and an acid-spewing beast. You have to unlock some of them, mind.
Teleport outYour goal is to find the teleport in each level, activate it, and then survive while waves of large creatures, robots, and mystical beings attack you.
Your ultimate objective is to reach the ship you rode in on so you can escape. The ship crash-landed on this alien planet, you see, dropping a lot of its cargo.
You'll need to find and pick up this cargo in the levels to upgrade your character in order to get through the increasingly difficult stages.
It's a tough game, sure, but you can make your life a little easier via online co-op on the PC version. The Vita version may not have a co-op mode, though. We'll have to wait and see.
We don't know the release date for Risk of Rain on Vita, but at least we know that it's on its way. At some point. Yes.
