PS4 shooter Resogun will be coming out on PS Vita (and PS3) on December 17th. If you've already bought it on PS4 then you won't have to pay for it again.

We already knew that the game was on the way to Sony's handheld just over a month ago due to a tweet. But with the official announcement today we have a few more details.

Aside from the release date, what we expected has been confirmed, and that is that the game suffers a frame rate drop on Vita.

It will run at 30 FPS instead of the 60 FPS that it does on the PS4.

"This was a very difficult decision to consider, but a very necessary decision to allow the team to focus on what was possible and to make the best game possible for both of these platforms," it reads in the announcement blog.

The good news is that the framerate is locked, even if you're swarmed with particle effects and flying voxels (which you will be) there should be no stuttering whatsoever.

The Vita version of Resogun also has cross-save functionality with the PS3 version. Plus, it has ad-hoc co-op so you can team up with a friend while playing.

It also makes full use of the Vita's touch features, so you can customise the controls to your liking - you can even swipe to throw the humans you save.

That's it for now. Look forward to this acclaimed shooter coming to Vita in a couple of weeks.
