Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault / QForce finally ready for Vita debut, coming next week

Whether you call it Full Frontal Assault or QForce, chances are good that you've been waiting for the upcoming Ratchet & Clank if you're a fan of the franchise who owns a Vita.

Originally scheduled for a release in January, the Vita version failed to appear on time, although Sony assured us that the team at Tin Giant was working tirelessly on polishing up the Vita port.

Now after close to six months of tireless polishing, the fruits of Tin Giant's labour are about to pay off: Sony confirmed that Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will come to the US PSN on May 21 while Ratchet & Clank: QForce will come to the European PSN on May 22.

Games with benefits

Those who purchased the latest Ratchet & Clank for their PlayStation 3 will be able to download Full Frontal Assault / QForce for free as it's compatible with Sony's Cross-Buy feature.

If you haven't had the chance to play Full Frontal Assault on your PlayStation 3 yet, it plays in the third-person style that the franchise is known for but features a new tower defense component that allows players to use Ratchet & Clank's oddball arsenal to defend their bases.

Watch the trailer below, then watch your Vitas next week for the PlayStation store update.
