Ratcheting up the anticipation

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault delayed until spring 2013

It's been awhile since we've heard anything about the upcoming PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault.

Back in November the action/tower defence mash-up was given a Vita release window of "January 2013", which came and went without the game appearing in stores or on the PSN.

Sony took to The PlayStation Blog on Thursday to explain the delay: the Vita version is still very much in the works, but it won't be available until the spring of 2013.

Clanking along

Citing unspecific reasons for the delay, SCEA's Greg Phillips stated that Tin Giant has been "working night and day" to bring a quality port of the PS3 game to the Vita.

Phillips also assured fans that the delay would in no way impact the game's Cross-Buy feature and that those who purchased the PS3 version would still be eligible for a free copy on the Vita once it launches.

To apologize to these (hopefully) patient fans, Sony is offering a free download of Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked for the PS3 on the day that the Vita version launches.

This free download is available for everyone who purchased Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for the PS3 digitally or on disc.

We'll keep you updated with a North American and European release dates for the Vita version of Full Frontal Assault as soon as they're available.
