Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will come to Vita in January

Details on the Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault have been in short supply since Gamescom this summer.

We knew that the upcoming title would feature full cross-play support with the PS3 version, but when the console version received its release date (November 27 in North America, November 30 in Europe), the Vita version remained frustratingly unannounced.

A Monday morning post on the US PlayStation Blog changed this, and provided a release window of January 2013 for the PS Vita version.

Free with proof of purchase

Holding to the promised Cross-Buy feature also announced at Gamescom, those who purchase the PlayStation 3 version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be eligible to receive the PS Vita version for free.

While the majority of the gameplay in Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will return to the third-person style that the franchise is known for, it will also introduce a new tower defense component that will allow players to defend their bases with a full Ratchet & Clank arsenal.
