SideQuest Studios has released the first trailer for its upcoming RPG Rainbow Skies. You can watch it below.

This is the indirect sequel to the Bronze Award-winning Rainbow Moon. The "indirect" part refers to how Skies isn't continuing the story Moon.

Instead, you'll have three new characters to get to know - Damion, Layne, and Ashly - as they get caught in the crossfire between two rival super powers.

Improvements and extra features in Skies that weren't in Moon include monster taming and being able to combine skill attacks.

Skies will also be about ten times bigger than what Moon was. And, don't worry, SideQuest says that "the gameplay and structure that are a trademark of the series [is] still [its] highest priority".

We last heard about Rainbow Skies about a year ago. At the time, SideQuest was hoping to get the game out in 2014.

Now, however, the release date of Rainbow Skies on PS Vita and PS3 has been confirmed to be 2015. Unfortunately, that's as specific as SideQuest is willing to be for now.
