The rather lovely-looking Pure Chess will be winging its way to the PS3 on the 11th April and PS Vita on the 18th.
Published by Ripstone and developed by VooFoo Studios (responsible for Silver Award-winning Hustle Kings), Pure Chess hopes to bring everyone’s favourite strategy game to the masses, with highly detailed graphics and assortment of ‘interactive game modes’.
These game modes include an in-depth tutorial to train (or sharpen) up your Chess abilities, as well as turn-based multiplayer modes.
There’s also quite a few different types of chess pieces to choose from, including the classic old Lewis Chessmen style from the 12th Century.
Pure Chess will be setting up the board for PSN on April 18th.
Sorry, no Lewis pieces in the game as yet. They feature heavily in videos, but aren't included for some unusual reason. I expect they will have them appear at a later date... for a price!
