PG's top moments of the week - BioShock on iOS, the Micromon database

Every week, Pocket Gamer provides a weekly digest of the most important and popular stories from these digital pages.

This week kicked off with a bang. Philosophical, underwater shooter BioShock is coming to iPhone and iPad sometime later this year. And we've got the video to prove it.

But is it a good fit? Does a cinematic adventure with a complex control scheme and a rich world belong on a telephone? Harry and I argued that we do and don't want to play BioShock on iOS.

We also went hands-on with Championship Manager 2015 (but Square Enix refused to provide any screenshots, so we had to improvise). And we tried out Onlive on a Wikipad, which are two words I didn't think I'd ever hear again.

Zombie High Dive

As for games that are actually out, iOS gamers got their hands on Peter Molyneux's Godus, the follow-up to riddle adventure Jacob Jones, and a game about backflipping into a paddling pool filled with poo.

Android gamers, on the other hand, got Skulls of the Shogun, Crazy Taxi: City Rush, Talisman, and Duet. And both app stores found Dragon (or Dargon) Quest IV on their store shelves.

It was even a top week for PS Vita, which celebrated the arrival of statistical puzzle platformer Metrico and atmospheric cloning romp The Swapper.

Elsewhere, Danny took a look into the world of fan translations and found eight amazing games we'd never get to play in English without some dedicated fans.

Kardashian

And while everyone goes gaga for Kim Kardashian's mobile game, I found nine other celebrities with their own mobile games. Did you know that Paris Hilton, Shaq, Snoop Dogg, and infamous urine swiller Bear Grylls have all got games?

And, with the announcement that BioShock will support MFi controllers, we decided to update our monster list of great games with controller support. New additions include cute Metroidvania Traps n' Gemstones and beefy arcade brawler The King of Fighters '98.

And finally, this was a huge week for walkthroughs. We helped you find all ten cursed skulls in the Oceanhorn Game of the Year Edition update, and survive the Military Quarter in Hearthstone's latest Naxxramas wing.

Micromon

We also solved all the puzzles in Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery: Episode 2, made a database of Micromon's Micromon, and started solving Metrico's most devious puzzles.

Around Steel Media

This week, the fine folks at 148Apps reviewed Jacob Jones Part 2, Time Tangle-Adventure Time, and Pokemon-wannabe Micromon. Plus hardware reviews and game guides too. See it all right here.
