Sony is rolling out the latest firmware update for the PS Vita as I type this, adding a couple of new features to its super-shiny handheld console.

None of them is particularly exciting, mind.

After this new update, for instance, you'll be able to keep 500 different apps on the homescreen of your handheld (up from 100 before).

There's also a new calendar app that lets you sync with your Google Calendar and share events through email and messages.

Even more!?!

And if that wasn't enough, you'll be able to send voice messages to friends through the messaging app. AND you'll be able to manage the storage on your memory card. Wowsers.

Like I said, nothing particularly exciting.

Anyway. This firmware update should be going live on your Vita in the next few hours, so keep your eyes open.
