My my - we appear to have some rather lovely games available for purchase on the PS Vita this week.

One is a port of a brilliant PC game, while the other is a game all about love and caring and happiness and more fuzzy things like that.

Not only that, but there are some free games to download from PlayStation Mobile as well. What I'm saying to you is, there are a whole bunch of reasons to turn your Vita on this week.

On we go then, into the breach.

Full-price releases

Doki-Doki Universe is a delightful romp through space, and has you finding people to help and presents to collect.

This is a game all about talking to people, discovering their problems and then fixing whatever is wrong, all in the name of humanity.

It's genuinely lovely stuff, and well worth a download, especially for the £5.99 / $14.99 (that price is correct - sorry to our American readers, you got screwed)

Note that it comes with a bunch of in-app purchase stuff, but if you pay £9.99 / $24.99 for the special edition, you get all that bundled in too.

Meanwhile, the glorious Terraria is now available for PS Vita. Imagine Minecraft in 2D, mixed with Castlevania, and you've got a general idea of what to expect.

I've not tried the Vita version, but I put 30+ hours into the game on PC, so if it's a good port, this is well worth grabbing, especially for the £11.99 asking price.

Another game that might be worth checking out is Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God, a Japanese dungeon crawler that follows a magic student who is collecting ingredients to save a curry shop from being closed down.

Sounds like a weird one alright. It costs $34.99, but you may want to wait for our review first.

Sales, price drops, and PS Plus

PS Plussers can get Terraria for 10 percent off, which is pretty neat.

On the US PSN, PS Plus subscribers can get Spelunky for the ridiculously low price of $3.75. That gets you the PS3 version too. Non-PS Plussers get it for $7.49.

Oh, there's also Dragon’s Crown for $29.99, or $26.99 if you're on PS Plus.

PlayStation Mobile releases

Free games alert! Both Super Crate Box and Fuel Tiracas are both free to download, so get those grabbed as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Quiet Christmas is another game from the Vacation Vexation and Quiet, Please! dev, so it's bound to be fun. That's 79p.

And Chromatic Aberraion is a fairly tidy-looking space adventure game, although for the £3.19 asking price, might be best to leave it.

Back next week!
