Standing up? We suggest you find yourself a seat.
UK retailers Game and Gamestation are planning on flogging the forthcoming PS Vita for just £99.99. Well, providing you're willing to relinquish a 3DS, that is.
As you can see from the image below, you'll be able to grab Sony's latest handheld when it arrives in the UK at a reduced cost as long as you're willing to trade-in one of your ageing consoles.
If the 3DS still isn't floating your boat, you can hand it over and nab a wi-fi-only PS Vita for just £99.99, or get get your sweaty mitts on a 3G-enabled model for just £149.99.
The big boys
If you think the ability to play
Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the bus is worth more than one of your shiny home consoles, you can offer up a 320GB PS3 or 250GB Xbox and walk away with a wi-fi-only Vita for just £79.99. The 3G model will set you back an extra £50.
Check out the poster below for Gamestation's full range of trade-in offers.

Hah! They sell the 3ds for just a tenner more than that exchange price! Crazy. Also if anyone here pays that 80quid to exchange their 320gb PS3 for this thing, you're a total idiot.
As a 3ds owner who excitedly tried a Vita yesterday, my personal answer to the question 'do I fancy it?' is no and for the following reasons.
Whilst I was very impressed with the machine itself (it's bloody light for a start), I was less impressed with the very, very long loading times and non-native res of the launch games I played. I tried both Wipeout and Uncharted and though both had a lovely level of detail and great shaders etc, I couldn't help but be disappointed by the resolution of the overall image. Trust me, if you're used to the sharpness of a retina-equivalent display then you may well be as shocked as I when you finally get to see this thing in motion. From what I hear only a few launch games actually support native resolution (virtual tennis being one I think) which does't bode well for a machine that's being heralded for its horsepower. Also the framerate in Wipeout was a genuine disappointment to, I was fully expecting it to be native res @ 60fps but what I played seemed 25-30fps at a lower res which made what should have been a sharpe far-off track view blurry and blocky.
I was really looking forward to seeing a monster polygon basher in this console but I'm afraid not even the gimmicky rear touch panel was enough to cover these shortfalls for me. Actually a bit sad about the whole thing thinking about it now :(
