A recent post over at PlayStation.Blog has revealed the PS Vita's European box art, as well as the apps that will come pre-installed on the handheld powerhouse.

Unwrap your new portable console and you'll immediately have access to a Welcome Park app, which will help you explore your new toy's features through several mini-games.

Naturally, you'll also be able to delve into the PlayStation Store app, a Photos app, a Music app, and the Vita's Internet Browser app, all of which are pretty self explanatory.

The socialites among you will be able to take advantage of your PSN friends list, a Group Messaging client, location-based gaming network Near, and Party, which allows cross-game chat. More on the latter two here.

Finally, the Trophies application allows you to keep track of all those hard-earned Platinum rewards you've amassed on both PS Vita and PS3.

Check out the rather lovely box art below.
