It's Friday and our own batteries are almost expended with the sheer weight and volume of exciting news coming out of E3.

Sony's PS Vita, however, may have no such recharging problem, since it could well match the battery life of its PSP predecessor.

After word from an unnamed game developer, Engadget reports that, aside from 'graphically intense' games such as Unchartered: Golden Abyss, the Vita's battery life should match that of the PlayStation Portable's.

Sony itself cleared up the mystery surrounding the functionality of the PS Vita's bottom port in conversation with the tech blog.

This 'multiport' socket on the base of the device will supply power, connectivity, and might just do video-out, too.

Stay tuned to Pocket Gamer for the latest on the PS Vita's battery life... among other things, of course.
