This is a very good week for PlayStation Vita players. A very good week, indeed.
There are around half a dozen new downloadable games to sink your teeth into. And at least a handful of them look like they might be worth a pop.
And if you're a PS Plus subscriber, you can download a few of them on the cheap.
Let's crack on, then...Full-price releases
There are a few big releases this week, so listen up.Stick It to The Man!
received a Silver Award from us, so it must be good. In it, you follow a guy called Ray who, for some unknown reason, has a 16-foot pink arm sticking out of his head.
This is smart, unique, and incredibly good fun. Well worth a download - grab it for £9.99 / $12.99.Rainbow Moon
is another interesting one. It's a Japanese tactical RPG that came to the PS3 last year, and has now wormed its way onto the Vita.
I've played it very briefly and will have a review of it up soon. Early signs, however, are good. If you can't wait, it costs £9.99 / $14.99.
What else is there?
Well, you can grab thatgamecompany's classic flOw
for the Vita now for £3.99. There's also Indoor Sports World
for £3.99, which sounds, well, dull.
And DLC-wise, there's a whole bunch of LittleBigPlanet
stuff, and a new set of levels for Stealth Inc
. Hoorah!Sales, price drops, and PS Plus
In Europe, you can download the Gravity Rush
DLC packs on the cheap now (just £1.97 each). Over in the US, you can pick up Limbo
for just $9.99.
And if you're a PS Plus subscriber, you can take advantage of a few discounts.Rainbow Moon
is available at 20 percent off to European PS Plus members, while Draw Slasher
and Rainbow Moon
are also discounted in the US. Very nice, indeed.
PlayStation Mobile releases
A studio called teasoft has been playing around with the Vita Augmented Reality bits and bobs, and released a couple of AR games onto PS Mobile.
The neat thing is that both Alien
and Ninja Incect
are both free. The less neat thing is that they look pretty amateurish. Still, might be worth a pop if you're bored.
(its actual name) is, well, not really worth talking about. Sorry about that.
Back again next week.
