If you happen to live in the U.S. of A., own a PS Vita, and have a penchant for Japanese games, then the next two weeks are going to be jolly thrilling for you.

Well, as long as you've got plenty of spare cash.

That's because there's a huge sale on a number of Japanese games in the US PlayStation Store to celebrate Japanese developers.

Rush in

Regular US PSN users can expect to get up to 50 percent off some great games, while PS Plus subscribers can take advantage of 75 percent off certain titles.

The big hitters during the first week of the sale - which runs from today until August 19th - include the Silver Award-winning hack 'n' slasher Soul Sacrifice and the Silver Award-winning action-adventure game Gravity Rush.

You could also save money on the not-very-good and not-developed-in-Japan Silent Hill: Book of Memories, but we heartily recommend that you don't bother buying this.

During the second week of this US PSN promotion - which runs from August 20th to August 26th - Capcom's Bronze Award-winning 2D-ish brawlers Street Fighter X Tekken and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will both be on sale.

If you like hiding and monologues, meanwhile, you will be able to grab the Gold Award-winning Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection for cheap, too.

There's something for everyone, then. You can check out the full list of Japan-made games on sale over on the US PlayStation Blog.

Unfortunately, it does look as though this is a US-only promotion. If we hear that that's not the case, we'll be sure to let you know as quickly as possible.
