Sony reveals pricing for Vita full-game downloads - £44.99 for FIFA, £7.99 for online passes

Uncharted, FIFA, and Unit 13 demos land on PlayStation Store

Sony has revealed its pricing model for the PlayStation Vita’s full-game downloads which will cost below the recommended retail price.

Premium offerings such as the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning Uncharted: Golden Abyss and FIFA cost £39.99 and £44.99 respectively with other day one titles ranging from between £16.99 to £34.99, all fractionally cheaper than the recommended retail price of the physical boxed versions.

However, the competitive nature of some brick and mortar store and online retailers has seen physical copies priced at more desirable prices - in some cases, up to 17 per cent cheaper than Sony's discounts (thanks Savy Gamer).

Online passes for games like Everbody's Golf and Reality Fighters, meanwhile, are priced at £7.99 - something to watch out for if you plan on picking up titles second-hand.

If you're not too keen on splashing out the cash for any games just yet, there are also demos for FIFA, Uncharted, Unit 13, and ModNation Racers: Road Trip available to download.

@fett42 I believe they come with a network pass. If they don't it would be stated otherwise but I'm certain Sony would just pack in the pass.

@kdbaker depends on the game. Download sizes should be in the description when you visit the PS store on the Vita. I personally have Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Motorstorm RC, Frobisher Says!, and Escape Plan on my Vita's 8GB memory card and it's almost full.

I bought Wipeout 2048 today and can confirm it does come with an online pass. I looked up size of games and they range but on average allow about a gig or slightly more for a premium game like Wipeout. Some of the AR and cheaper games are a few 100 mb.

Do games downloaded from the PSN come with an online pass, or do you have to buy it separately?
