Developer SWDTech has announced that JRPG-inspired detective game Pixel Noir will be getting a very special composer.

It's Secret of Mana and Soul Calibur V musician Hiroki Kikuta. Yep, he'll be lending the game some original tunes.

It'll be interesting to see what he comes up with given the game's dark theme. It's a far cry from the tones of the games he's most well-known for working on as composer.

Oh, and by the way, Pixel Noir has surpassed its initial crowdfunding goal. So it's already done a lot better than the previously failed Kickstarter.

This means it should definitely be coming to PS Vita. It's also working towards its mobile port stretch goal too.

It needs to raise $60,000 to make that happen, so fingers crossed. There's still plenty of time for it to happen.

Support Pixel Noir on Kickstarter if it grabs you.
