After the somewhat lacklustre PS Vita Store update last week, you'd hope that Sony would follow it up with a real bang.

Alas, it hasn't.

The European Vita Store gets a grand total of zero new Vita games this week, while the US Store gets one. One! One, I say.

Still, there are some new PlayStation Mobile releases, DLC, and the like worth downloading, so carry on scrolling down, anyway. Yeah, go on.

Full-price releases

As mentioned, European Vita gamers have precisely no new full-price downloadable Vita games to look forward to this week. Sadness consumes all, we're all doomed, etc.

There is some DLC, though.

Additional content for LittleBigPlanet Vita and Street Fighter X Tekken (SFXT), to be precise. You'll find various new LittleBigPlanet costume packs on the Store now, and Boost Gem Packs for SFXT.

American Vita players, however, have an interesting new title to check out. Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is a handheld version of the averagely received console game.

Its a third-person shooter full of huge and very silly enemies, such as giant ants and robot spiders. Probably not worth the $39.99 asking price, but hopefully it'll get a price drop at some point in the near future.

PlayStation Mobile releases

PlayStation Mobile might be where it's at this week.

First up, we have Super Icon's Life of Pixel, which is a retro-styled platformer. For £1.59, you get to bomb across 64 different screens, with eight references to video games of the distant past. We'll have a review of this up on the site soon.

Haunt the House: Terrortown looks just as interesting. In it, you float around as a ghost and possess objects. Yep, in a bid to frighten people. Lots of people.

If you can scare every jumpy person in the house, you win. Again, we'll have a review of this game up soon, but if you'd rather just go for it, you're looking at a £2.79 price tag.

PSP and PSone Classics

PSP games now...

And you'll find that a range of Disney games are now available for your Vita. Whether they're any good or not is another matter entirely.

Hercules, Lilo & Stitch, Peter Pan: Return to Neverland, The Emperor's New Groove, and Disney's the Little Mermaid are all there. All of them! Yes.

Oh, Brain Challenge for PSP is also on sale right now. You can pick the game up for just 99c (down from $4.99).

That's your lot for this week! Hopefully, the PS Vita Store will be bursting at the seams with new titles next week. Hopefully.
