Mortal Kombat Vita release date confirmed as May 4th

NetherRealm Studios has announced that the hotly-anticipated portable version of Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita will be arriving on May 4th.

Mortal Kombat for PS Vita, which carries the oxymoronic tagline ‘Fatality Lives’, includes over 150 Challenge Tower missions, DLC characters (including Freddy Krueger), and touchscreen controls.

Special moves like Fatalities and X-Rays can be now performed using the touchscreen, while the action itself is said to move at a steady 60 frames per second.

Two new game modes called Test Your Balance and Test Your Slice, plus local and online multiplayer round off the feature list.
