Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection for PS Vita will feature rear touchpad controls

Earlier today, legendary game designer Hideo Kojima revealed on Twitter that the forthcoming PS Vita edition of Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection will feature rear touchpad controls.

Tweeting about this week's scheduled re-recording work, Kojima shared one of Major Zero's new lines with his followers.

"New controls of PS Vita. Major Zero's line. You can slice enemy's throat with knife if you flick the touch pad behind," the tweet read.

Pinch me, I'm dreaming

That's not all you can do, though. Apparently, you can also make a pinch gesture on the touchpad to perform some sort of stretch manoeuvre.

"Major Zero. If you pinch out left & right on touch panel behind w/ 1st person camera, you can stretch up yourself," another tweet confirmed.

Unfortunately, we're not entirely sure what Kojima means by "stretch up yourself", but it's possible you can zoom in and out to get a better view of the perils that lie in waiting.
