March looks like it's going to be another cracking month for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Especially for those with a soft spot for
Metal Gear Solid.
Following on from last month's pair of complimentary PS Plus corkers -
WipEout 2048 and
Lumines Electronic Symphony - Sony has decided to make
Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection the next PS Vita freebie for subscribers to its paid PSN service.
If it hasn't blipped on your radar before now,
Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection comprises snazzily remastered versions of PS2 classics
Metal Gear Solid 2: Songs of Liberty and
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

The PS Plus curator has also seen fit to offer up
Puddle, an ingenious water-based physics-puzzler, as a free gift to all PS Plus members.
Though we found the first hour of
Puddle slightly bland, the game does eventually turn into a potent cocktail of thrilling mechanics, cunning puzzles, and creative environments.

PS Plus subscribers can download
Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection from March 13th, and
Puddle from March 20th.
