Killzone: Mercenary updates will add more multiplayer maps and Vita TV support by mid-2014
Coming to the big screen
Considering the fact that the last update for Killzone: Mercenary was a hefty 1.2GB download, you might be begging for mercy at the mere mention of more updates.
Thankfully, developer Guerrilla Cambridge says that the third update due in a few weeks will free up 800mb of space that the previous two updates gobbled up.
That's not the exciting part, though. Guerrilla also outlined another three updates that will be available between now and mid-2014 for the shooter.
The game's fourth update is due in January 2014 and should make it easier to connect to online matches, and will automatically rebalance multiplayer teams, too.
The fifth update doesn't have an estimated date of arrival, but will add offline matches against bots in the Mercenary and Guerrilla Warfare modes. It will also add two multiplayer maps to the game's roster.
Lastly, the sixth update for Mercenary will add support for the Vita TV.
Look into this what you will, but the Vita TV is currently available in Asia only. Does this update for Mercenary - a game typically preferred by Western gamers - suggest the Vita TV will launch in other territories in 2014? Let's hope so.
