Last week, members of the Pocket Gamer and AppSpy crew were at Gamescom in Cologne. After eating our collective body weight in sausages, we're bringing you hands-on impressions of our favourite games from the show.

Jet Car Stunts

Jet Car Stunts is fast, wild, and out of control. Or, at least it was on iOS. But with the physical controls of the PS Vita, True Axis's rocket-powered stunt racer plays perfectly.

It's one of two games to be picked up by Grip Games - a Czech mini-publisher that helps bring PC and mobile games to the console platforms. The other is Unmechanical.

Jet Car for Vita is pretty similar to the original Jet Car Stunts - not the more-recently released sequel - but it has some fancy new visuals to make better use of the Vita's perfomance.

There's also a new collection mode where you drive your car into stars, which gives the game a puzzle aspect where you try to figure out how to manoeuvre your rocket-powered jet car to drive through a star on top of a tall pillar.

It might be showing its age slightly at this point, seeing as the iOS original came out in 2009, but if you want to play the game we called a "high-speed thrill ride" on your Vita (or Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, or PC), then this upcoming port will do just that.
