Hotline Miami 2's release date may have been revealed through a phone number

The official Hotline Miami Twitter and Facebook accounts posted a telephone number yesterday.

This one: +1 (786) 519-3708 ext 10

If you call it, you'll get an answer phone message with a distorted voice that says, "We are 50 Blessings. Together we march into the future. You have reached the wrong number."

It's thought that within this lies the release date of Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Let's investigate the evidence.

The word "march" is delivered with a stammer in the recorded message in order to emphasize it. Listen below.

That's pretty clear, right? The message really wants us to understand that "march" is important.

And, as there's no way of entering the extension, which is 10 in this case, it seems that this whole thing is pointing towards March 10th.

The fact that the message ends by saying that you've reached the "wrong number" adds to this, given that it's the subtitle of the sequel.

Oh, and if you're wondering, 50 Blessings is the group that leave messages on answering machines in the Hotline Miami universe.

Presuming March 10th is the release date, the only issue is that we don't know whether this applies to all platforms the game is coming to.

The one that concerns us is the PS Vita, of course. But it's also slated for PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.

But let's remain hopeful that the game comes out in just over a month's time. That seems likely. Apart from in Australia, of course.
