If you've always felt that Slimer was the real star of Ghostbusters, then there's something arriving on PlayStation Mobile today that could well tickle your spooky fancy.
Haunt the House: Terrortown is, essentially, a possession simulator for PS Vita and PlayStation Certified Android devices (Xperia Play, HTC One X, etc.). We suspect it's designed for those who find Ouija boards a little 'old fashioned'.
Haunt the House: Terrortown is a port of a Flash game released by developer SFB Games back in 2010. In it, you are cast as a ghost, who must float around a creepy town and attempt to put the frighteners on the local residents.
Using his post-mortem mojo, Haunt the House: Terrortown's ghostly protagonist can possess a wide range of inanimate objects.
By shaking furniture, rattling pipes, tinkling piano keys, and making gramophones chase their owners, you can empty a house of its occupants, cackling ghoulishly as you go (or not... whatever).
Visually, Haunt the House: Terrortown's bisected buildings and bold, colourful backgrounds echo the backdrops in 2012 iOS hit Beat Sneak Bandit.
However, the environments - which include a theatre, a hospital, and a clock tower - are, rather fittingly, inspired by locations used in classic horror movies.
