[Update] Sega reveals Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f release date, price, and Cross-Buy promo

Calm down, it's not *that* kind of cross-buy

[Update] Sega reveals Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f release date, price, and Cross-Buy promo

Updated at 9:35pm GMT - While Sega did not confirm the download size of Project Diva f just yet, it did confirm that those who received the Snow Miku costume as a GameStop pre-order bonus will also have it unlocked in the Vita version via the Cross-Buy promo. The original story follows.

Early March is going to be a good time of year if you're a Vita-owning Vocaloid fan. Sega's announced that the fast and frenetic rhythm game Hatsune Miku Project Diva f will come to the PSN on March 4 in North America and on March 12 in Europe at a price of $29.99 / ~£17.95.

Additionally, Sega let slip that there'd be a Cross-Buy promotion available - but it's not quite the Cross-Buy that many fans were hoping for.

If you want Project Diva F on your PlayStation 3 and Project Diva f on your Vita, you'll need to double-dip and purchase both games separately.

But if you purchased the Snow Miku 2013 costume or the Extra Character Modules DLC for the PS3 version, they'll be automatically unlocked for free in the Vita version - assuming you use the same PSN ID on both machines.

Alternatively, if you purchase these DLC items on the Vita version, they'll transfer over to your PS3 version.

Sega's already confirmed that Project Diva f will launch with DLC available on day one, so you won't need to wait if you want to add the Snow Miku costume or the Extra Songs pack – which is worth picking up for Senbonzakura and Tell Your World alone.

We've contacted Sega to see if we can get a rough idea of how much space Project Diva f will take up on your Vita's memory card and will update this story if we hear back.
