Forthcoming Vita game Hand of Fate is a mixture of action roguelike and deck builder
Not all down to chance
Defiant Development's upcoming Vita roguelike / deck building hybrid Hand of Fate isn't your typical card game.
It starts off as usual. You pick your cards, mixing equipment, chance, and combat. The further you progress in the game, the more (and better) your card selection will be.
Then, you start your quest. It's at this point that the Dealer will start turning the cards on the table over, revealing what creatures inhabit the dungeons up ahead.
But this is where Hand of Fate swings into life. You see, the cards themselves come to life, for one. Then, you start playing a dungeon-crawler inside 3D spaces under torchlight.
Your skill in combat will help to determine how well you fare. But you better hope that you picked the right cards at the start. Oh, and that the Dealer dishes them out when you need them.
As Defiant Development revealed on the EU PlayStation Blog, Hand of Fate will be heading to PS4 and Vita.
